Specifically designed with academic and low throughput laboratory applications in mind, the Model D7 is a high quality, relatively high accuracy optical polarimeter with a much lower price tag than its predecessor! Unlike most other low cost polarimeters, the instrument incorporates a fully enclosed etched glass scale providing excellent resolution on both the angular and sugar scales. Having launched the significantly successful replacement model in 2007, B+S reluctantly announce that the RFM340 and RFM311 refractometers are no longer available. After almost half a Century of production, the classic Model D(2) optical polarimeter has been withdrawn from sale and has been replaced by the Model D7.
